Thank you Ripper. I have been having fun drawing things lately. The weirder, the better.

A constricting hold would have been cool, but most real snakes are either venomous or constrictors. I can envision the rampant in a crazed frenzy of biting and in constant motion. Maybe it should froth at the mouth...

As per DM discretion, one could add a grab attack as a variant to keep people on their toes. :)

Wow, I can just picture it gestating inside a cave dwelling humanoid flesh sack. In its primary stages, the humanoid could have a few reptilian traits and grow a tail. In the secondary stage, the rampant could definitely look like a separate organism from the host, almost like the middle of the creature being green and scaled and disfiguring the trunk and head of the person, while the fleshy arms and legs atrophy. The final stage could be when the eyeless rampant sheds/acid burns off its once human exterior and starts slithering around.

It's got acid for blood and it gestates inside...
